First UXO Technician Class of 2020 Graduates!

April 2020 – A big congratulations is to the thirteen students that successfully completed the esteemed seven- week UXO training program.

After graduating students will receive not only a UXO Technician I Certificate, but also a HAZWOPER certification and a Heavy Machinery certification and are eligible for hire immediately. 

This program was developed by The University of Tennessee Center for Professional Education & Lifelong Learning and RELYANT Global and is the most comprehensive UXO training program available. UT provided this class with instructors in the areas of mathematics, engineering, science, and environmental law. RELYANT Global provided experienced certified UXO instructors for hands-on field and safety training.

These students, as well as future students who graduate, will benefit from the following advantages of the program: 

  • Course is approved for use of veterans’ education benefits through the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
  • Sallie Mae pre-approved loan program with payments starting as low as $126 per month.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER, Hazardous Waste Site Worker 29CFR1910.120{(e)(3)} certification is included in our course at no additional cost (required for employment as a UXO Technician). This is not an online section. All training will be done in-person with hands-on experience.
  • International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) training included at no additional cost, led by former U.S. Armed Forces EOD Technicians with over 30 years of combined experience.
  • State-of-the-art facilities and computer labs for student use. Every classroom is equipped with AV and wireless Internet.
