Remediation and Waste Management

This service line provides cradle to grave activities from sampling and inspection to ultimate disposal and processing. RELYANT’s hazardous materials identification/quantification process provides results in terms of data precision, accuracy, completeness, comparability, and representativeness. RELYANT uses laboratory and sampling operations accredited through the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for Asbestos Bulk Identification.

In accordance with HAZWOPPER 29 CFR 1926.65, RELYANT provides Risk Mitigation Plans, Work Plans, and Project-Specific Implementation Plans. Additionally, RELYANT provides proven Quality Assurance (QA) Surveillance Program Plans (QASP) that define and document the QA and Quality Control (QC) activities of hazardous materials removal including Asbestos Control, Lead Paint Removal, and Universal Wastes. RELYANT remediates surface hazardous materials (i.e., asbestos, lead, silica) as mandated by US Standards AHERA and OSHA.

RELYANT’s successful track record in working with hazardous materials and asbestos abatement, even under the most austere conditions in hostile environments such as Iraq and Afghanistan, proves our ability to handle the risks inherent to this industry. Safety, training, logistical planning and strict adherence to federal and local laws and regulations, such as Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), guarantee our continued success.

RELYANT is committed to achieving and sustaining “Zero Accident Performance” through continuous improvement practices. “Zero Accident Performance” includes zero non-permitted discharges or releases with respect to the protection of the environment. RELYANT believes the success of the Zero Accident Performance Policy begins by supporting “integrated safety management” from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) down through the RELYANT Project Manager (PM) and Staff and strives to create a workplace that is free of known hazards.
To ensure the safety of our team, as well as other stakeholders who may be affected by hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste remediation projects, RELYANT organically provides Board Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) and Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) to ensure project health and safety operations are compliant with HS&E plans.
HS&E plans produce procedures that minimize hazards to human health and the environment. From fires, explosions, and other emergencies RELYANT rigorously adheres to OSHA, EPA, DoD, and Client requirements.

Rigorous industrial practices are exercised while RELYANT plans and implements Environmental Services projects. We provide inimitable investigation, testing, mobilization, site prep and work control boundaries, deactivation, hazardous material abatement, stabilization, equipment and material removal, demolition, waste transportation, demobilization, and consulting within our Environmental Services portfolio.
